I think the American economy will recover and go on to another bubble of some kind BUT---maybe, just maybe, we can take a lesson from this particular bubble to try and reduce the severity of the next one. We have GOT to do something to reduce Congressional meddling in the free markets. Many on the left-leaning side of the aisle are attempting to lay this 'crisis' at the feet of George Bush (for obvious political reasons) while I would lay it at the feet of Congress.
